Ruth's story is short. Four chapters. But inside those four chapters is a whole way of reading Scripture — one that teaches us to slow down, cross-reference, and let one part of God's Word illuminate another.

Over four Monday mornings, we'll walk through Ruth verse by verse. We'll learn how her story quietly echoes the Proverbs 31 woman we've read about for years but maybe never fully understood. Along the way, you'll learn how to study — not just what to believe.

Bring your Bible. Bring your questions. Come as you are.

❋ Ruth 1: The choice to stay

Naomi loses everything, and Ruth chooses loyalty anyway. We'll start here — and start learning how to read a Bible passage for its setting and its stakes.

❋ Ruth 3: The redeemer's request

The threshing floor scene confuses most modern readers. We'll use a commentary to understand the custom behind it — and why it matters.

❋ Ruth 2: Provision in the ordinary

In a gleaning field, we'll trace Ruth's character straight into Proverbs 31 — and learn what it looks like to hold two passages open at once.

❋ Ruth 4: Redemption and blessing

Ruth's story ends at a city gate and reaches all the way to Christ. We'll trace that thread — and talk about what a Proverbs 31 life actually looks like today.
