Building Faith That Lasts

Years ago, Jesus told a simple story about two builders.

One built his house on rock.
The other built on sand.

From the outside, both homes may have looked the same. But when the storm arrived, the difference became clear.

One house stood firm. The other collapsed.

Jesus explained the reason:

“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” — Matthew 7:24

The strength of a home isn’t determined by what people see on the outside.

It’s determined by the foundation beneath it.

The same is true for our faith.

Encouraging Bible verses are wonderful reminders of God’s promises. But Scripture was never meant to simply inspire us—it was meant to transform us.

A life rooted in God’s Word becomes steady, even when circumstances are not.

Storms will come. Difficult seasons will arrive.

But when our lives are built on the truth of Scripture, our faith has something solid to stand upon.

Today, take a moment to slow down in God’s Word and ask:

“Lord, what are You revealing about Yourself here?”

Because the deeper we allow Scripture to shape our lives, the stronger our foundation becomes.
